we’ve had an update…
As the world turns we’ve had a few happy changes here at TFL. Thanks almost entirely to Andrea’s dogged attempts at matchmaking, Maria got married! Andrea was maid of honor, there was off-the-menu Cacio e Pepe, super fancy-bespoke Whistle Pig Manhattans, and of course, an incredible wedding cake fashioned with love in my very own kitchen- which then, get this, travelled the length of fair Manhattan by both taxi AND subway!
Sadly, we don't go to work in the same office anymore, but while Maria will be taking over major operations at TFL, Andrea is and always will be a very welcome contributor. No one, I repeat, no one, can whip up a gorgeous Anna dress out of thin air and in no time flat, or slay a random kohlrabi filled CSA pick-up into deliciousness like she can.
We still go out to lunch.

We’re Andrea and Maria and we work together and also really like each other! Apparently even when Maria drinks a green smoothie from the day before at her desk! So that’s something kids.
Anyway, we love to sew and craft and cook and bake and sometimes (often) when life and work get us down we go to lunch at a little spot called Despaña (you know, on Broome St.?).
Here we have perfected the art of the restart lunch in which you take an absolutely s*** day, add a Spanish tortilla, a marcona salad, mix in some gratis chocolate from the table (seriously, free chocolate, on. the. tables.), toss in a whole lotta #realtalk, finish up with a coffee from Columbe and emerge refreshed, or at least caring a whole lot less about whatever situation awaits you back at the office.
Andrea represents Queens, I was raised out in Brooklyn. (Pft, not really, but I have lived there for a long a** time at this point).
